Hello 2010

The new year is upon us. Well, it's actually been here for half a week now, hasn't it? 2010 should be an interesting time and I expect it to be a good year for Webmaren.com.

Normally, I'm not much of a New Year's resolution kind of guy. Those resolutions usually don't go anywhere, and I'm not one to believe in some sort of magic property of timing the setting of goals with the roll-over of the calendar. This year, however, I did decide to set a few resolutions for myself.

  1. This year I will aim to write 250 words of content for Webmaren.com each day. This may be a daunting challenge, and I certainly am not so naive as to expect to reach my quota every day. But even if I miss a few days a month, or even a week, I should have a healthy pile of content to be able to load onto Webmaren.com, and this is as great for you readers as it is for me.
  2. This year I will post a new update to Webmaren.com at least once per week. I am shooting for updates every Tuesday, and hopefully my accomplishment of my first goal will ensure that I'll never be scrambling Monday night to find something for you all to read.

Aside from those two pledges, 2010 should hold a lot of great things in store for you readers, including an update to the look of Webmaren.com. I will be sticking with the Drupal backend on the new version, so the organization of the site will be very similar to the current version, but the new design will bring a fresh new look to the site.

Have a great new year!
